The Specification Is As Follows:

The VTC 315 DS is an interesting proposition for workpieces of high quality produced in medium to large batches, such as gear shafts, rotor shafts, pump shafts, motor shafts or cardan shafts. The machining technology is selected according to requirements. Stable workpieces can be scroll-free turned. Thin, unstable components need to be ground. The machine can be used as a fully-fledged grinder or a fully-fledged turning machine, or as a combination of the two.

VTC 315 DS – 4-axis vertical simultaneous grinding. This method offers a reduction in the machining time of up to 72%!

The VTC 315 DS with 4-axis grinding technology machines the vertically clamped workpiece simultaneously from two sides. The advantage: the synchronised processes cancel out the tangential forces and drastically reduce grinding times - for instance those of gearshafts with multiple bearing seats. The synchronous support-grinding process can also be used on very slim shafts, where a travelling steady further helps to absorb tangential forces.
